Sulfuric Spiders are large arachnids native to geothermal regions, commonly found near sulfur vents and unstable ground. Their thick, heat-resistant exoskeleton protects them from corrosive gases, while elongated legs allow them to navigate fissures and uneven terrain with ease. Highly aggressive, they will defend their territory on sight, using venomous bites and rapid strikes to overwhelm intruders.
These spiders evolved in environments saturated with sulfur and extreme heat, where only highly specialized life could persist. Long-term exposure to geothermal gases altered the composition of their venom, making it highly corrosive and fast-acting. Unlike many Icarus creatures, Sulfuric Spiders show little evidence of exotic-driven mutation, suggesting adaptation rather than interference is responsible for their resilience.
