The comms are shot, nothing in or out. The new guy who arrived yesterday is completely unstable. I caught him draining his canteen outside this morning. He said he doesn't need water out here. He's crazy, I'm leaving this note in case something happens to us, I don't trust him.

1. Gather A Sample - you need something to extract DNA from 2. Homogenize the Sample - this breaks open the cells to release the cell contents. 3. Add Tris-EDTA - this helps to protect the DNA 4. Stir the Sample - This helps to dissolve the elements for uniform distribution 5. Heat the Sample - this helps with dissolution 6. Seperate the Solids and Liquids - This is easier for the next steps 7. Add Ethanol - this clumps the DNA together 8. Seperate the Solid from Liquids - this is so it can be easily examined 9. Examine with the Microscope to Confirm
Scalpels are sharp, and they can be found in the Surgical Equipment. Please be careful the UDA does not cover injuries to self while on planet.
