The Slinker prowls the tundra biome, its sleek frame and low stance built for silent pursuit across frozen plains. Its deep blue coat and faint stripes make it nearly invisible in twilight, striking fast from cover. Highly aggressive, it hunts alone, preferring ambush tactics over drawn-out chases.
Genetic records suggest the Slinker originated from a hybridized predator species introduced during early terraforming trials. Adaptations to extreme cold (including heat-retentive fur and enhanced musculature) made it one of the few apex predators to thrive post-collapse. Attempts to contain the population have failed repeatedly.
