On Icarus, deer make up the most abundant population of herbivores. Typically, they can be found in family groups of three or more. As they are sizable and fleet-footed creatures, they are prone to getting spooked easily and are adept at camouflaging themselves in the forest.
A black market for Icarus venison has been long suspected. While prospectors aren't supposed to remove any biological matter from the surface, rumors of Icarus meat and produce appearing on earth have been circulating. UDA INTSEC are currently investigating.
