The Hammerhead is believed to be an Icarus native, mainly found in the Prometheus region. They can be deceptively hard to kill, due to their tendency to split into smaller lifeforms to overwhelm their prey.

Hammerheads employ an arsenal of tricks to capture their prey, the most prominent of which is a sticky, poisonous substance that they will spit or fling at an enemy. Survival rates against these creatures are fairly high, though unprepared prospectors may find themselves in a sticky situation.
