Introduced as part of the Contractor Companion Program, these dogs were chosen for their bonding abilities with humans. Icarus is known to be a harsh and unforgiving environment, where loneliness can set in quickly. These dogs were frozen in cryo-sleep and transported planetside where they were allocated to select contractors for preliminary trials. These were wildly successful, with many contractors refusing to return the animals at the end of the testing phase.
