Bee

The Bees of Icarus are known for their long, needle-like stingers which are capable of piercing even the toughest of envirosuits. Proceed with caution. Despite the danger, they are still a reasonable source of food for many contractors living long-term on-planet.

Bees were introduced to Icarus by the UDA in an attempt to boost local flora levels after the terraforming failed. Initially, they were deemed harmless and used by many prospectors as an easy source of food once a hive had been set up. However, the influence of exotics soon became apparent in their mutation from Earth insects into a far more dangerous Icarus variant.
